Dermot Murphy

“I had a 30 year career at the RSPCA which included eight years of leading the Inspectorate, a field-based workforce of over 400 staff, managing a 7-day week operation, and overseeing a £25 million budget.  I am an accredited  mediator with experience in investigations, union negotiation, budget, transformation and business planning. I have chaired hearings and working groups. 
Beyond the managerial roles, I have been a media spokesperson and conference presenter. I have given testimony in various legal settings, ranging from magistrate, crown, and coroners courts, to appearances before a House of Commons Committee.

I am qualified as a coaching professional and I have a real interest in finding a way through problems, as well as in the development of individuals and teams. I want to use my experience to help Starford’s clients find the best outcomes to the challenges they face.

Outside of work, I enjoy walking our 2 dogs and watching sports.”
